Default New and have a question about builds

Hello all,
As I am new and really have no idea what im doing yet ( today was day one ) I have chosen an E/Mo set-up. I have been reading about these builds and am still kinda lost but figured ill just play around with the points until i learn more. My question is as I learn am I able to redistribute the points after awhile and create new builds?

You can redistribute attribute points and change your skills in your skill bar for others already learnt at will in any outpost or town.

What I'd reccommend is that you just sit back and enjoy the game as you want. When you get to the second half of the storyline then start searching for builds and the roles of your profession.

For any game mechanic question search here:

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Hope it helps, and a hearty welcome from my part to the game

Just do what ALF said.
However you can also type /wiki [what you want to search for here] while ingame to go to http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page
It's basically the same thing as wikia, just a different look and feel, and you can use ingame =p

EDIT:Easy place to find simple builds is http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page.

What I also recommend is that you take a second look at things, see what they do and try to look at all possibilities. This includes the skills the enemies use through F10 ingame and search whatever area, and you can build against it, for example if you're in an area where it has heavy enchantment usage with a lot of melee based enemies aswell, Pensive Guardian is a pretty good idea. Guardian on the other hand works against melee as long as they aren't using anti-blocking skills such as Rigor Mortis; you'll need damage reduction skills to deal with that and spells. For an Elementalist, your anti-melee tools are Blinding Flash, Enervating Charge, Blurred Vision and the various snares. Anti-caster is Maelstrom. I assume you're Prophecies only, but it's always worth adding in the tidbits.

I'm aware that Monk skills have little to do with an Elementalist, but that was just an example. Certain Elementalist skills have the power to weaken enemies, such as Blinding Flash, Enevating Charge and Gale. Just make sure you don't overdo it. For example, Blinding Flash outside of the use on a Mind Blast bar without an Attunement is pretty dumb because you won't be able to efficiently manage it, and the same goes for wide attribution spreads when they're unnecessary. If you have decent enough energy management such as Elemental Attunement, though, I guess you could fit Maelstrom and Deep Freeze on the bar because they don't require additional attribution to be useful.

It brings up a "help" menu. You can also access it via the "Menu" button in the bottom corner of your screen.
